HIGH QUALITY MATERIALS

Our jewelery quality

All our jewellery is of the highest quality. This we make sure of by carefully selecting the gemstones and diamonds for our jewellery ourselves. Quality to us is the same as beauty and durability, but also sustainability. Not only can our jewellery live on through generations, they are also made with a high focus on sustainability. We melt down gold and give it new life just as we still to this day use the same small groups of suppliers as in the beginning. To us beauty, durability and sustainability is quality.

The 4 quality factors

When it comes to the high quality of our jewelry, there are 4 different factors that play a role. This is the stone’s clarity, pruning, color and carat, and if you want to know more about these, just read on here.

Clarity

The clarity of the gemstone and diamond describes its purity, and the clarity is thus decided based on how many faults the stone has as well as how big the faults are. Clarity is divided into 5 main categories where IF is the flawless stone. The next two categories, plumbing and VS, have few and very minor faults. In the SI category, there are some errors, and the worst category is I3, where the stones have both many and large errors.

Gemstones use main classification as diamonds but are classified into three subcategories; category 1 where gemstones are typically inclusively free (aquamarine, morganite, topaz, garnet …), category 2 where they are typically found with small inclusions (tourmaline, peridot, spinel, garnet …) and category 3 where they are almost always found with inclusions (emerald, alexandrite, paraiba tourmaline …).

Our diamonds and gemstones are always in the IF and VS categories to provide the best gemstone experiences for you.

Sanding

Diamonds and gemstones can be sanded in a sea of various shapes, and you have the opportunity, among other things, to have a stone shaped like a drop, a heart or the popular round shape. When it comes to the 4 quality factors, the grinding of stones is the only controllable factor we humans have. Sanding is therefore an incredibly important factor for us as the best sanding will give life to a gemstone and make it shine.

Color

Precious and precious stones come in a wealth of beautiful colors, and our jewelery draws special inspiration from Scandinavian nature and its aesthetics, as well as the rich colors and traditions of the East. Therefore, among the many jewelery from Aspara, you will always be greeted by stunning gems in all the colors of the rainbow, which is precisely what dictates Asparas jewelry.

The color of the gemstones is divided into three categories, the color hue that defines the color of a stone, the tone that defines how light or dark stones are, and the saturation that defines the intensity of the stone. Saturation and tone are the characters we focus most on when talking about color as they determine how lively a stone is.
Diamond color is classifies from colorless (D), to yellow and brown (M-Z)

Carat (size)

Carat is the weight unit used to indicate a stone size and the unit has been used by diamond traders for thousands of years. At 1 gram, 5 carat goes, which means that 1 carat is 0.2 grams. Diamonds and gemstones come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes, and the size of the stones naturally affects the overall quality of the jewelry. Our diamonds with a size over 0.25 carat always come with a certificate.
